Transformation Freedom Initiative
Empowering Against Exploitation
About
Transformation Freedom Initiative (TFI) Empowers Against Exploitation by raising awareness and prevention of human trafficking in Central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. This is done through offering audience specific presentations, occupation specific training, youth programs on safety and human trafficking prevention, and youth worker training opportunities. TFI connects these resources with local organizations or community members, covers all costs associated, and implements resources as needed.
Anna Nalle, Director
Anna was born on the mission field in Thailand and grew up in Charlottesville, VA. She received her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with cognates in Christian Counseling and Psychology from Liberty University Online in 2017.
After college, Anna interned with International Justice Mission and Freedom 4/24. Through these internships, Anna felt led to pursue the work of TFI. It is an honor for her to implement crucial anti-trafficking resources in the local community. She and her husband make their home in Central VA.

General
Audience Specific Presentations
Are you a parent, Kiwanis or Rotary club member, church leader, or just interested in learning more about human trafficking? TFI will meet you where you are with context specific information on human trafficking, its relevance, and practical steps you can take to prevent it.
Occupation Specific Training
TFI will work with any industry or sector to provide training on human trafficking prevention, identification, and intervention.
Currently, we offer a 90 minute training on health and human trafficking as 87.8% of victims encounter a health care provider while being trafficked*. Interested in occupation specific training for your job? We would love to collaborate.

Youth
Prevention Project
This human trafficking prevention curriculum from Freekind educates middle and high school students to help them prevent trafficking in their lives and communities. The curriculum aligns with SOL requirements and adheres to the 5 C’s of a Profile of a Graduate for middle and high school grades.
TFI will also sponsor Freekind's Youth Service Provider Training. This version of the Prevention Project curriculum provides in-depth training to youth service providers, including teachers, social workers, school nurses, counselors and other administrators.
After-School Safety Matters
MBF's comprehensive, evidence-informed prevention education program is for youth in grades K-8. This program teaches children and adults how to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to child abuse, bullying, cyberbullying, and digital dangers. It is presented to youth in grade-level clusters (K-2, 3-5, and 6-8) and includes staff and parent training.
