Together We Stand

Transformation Freedom Initiative (TFI) supports working towards racial justice and reconciliation.  TFI longs to be known for living out the truth of acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with God in these and all matters. Fighting for biblical justice with the intention of bringing about true shalom or, “universal, flourishing, wholeness and delight”, is at the core of TFI’s mission.

While the main focus of TFI is fighting for biblical justice through the awareness and prevention of human trafficking, this does not mean TFI is silent on other matters of justice.  There is no “universal flourishing, wholeness, [or] delight” if we only succeed in one matter of justice.  So while TFI’s specific fight for justice may be different from yours or someone else’s, we NEED each other.  Just like the body of Christ “the parts of the body will not take sides. All of them will take care of one another.  If one part suffers, every part suffers with it. If one part is honored, every part shares in its joy (1 Corinthians 12:25-26).”

So let us stand at our posts of Godly justice, not diminishing another, but listening to each other, caring for one another, loving one another. Right now, ALL fights for justice suffer as our black brothers and sisters suffer under the oppression of racism.  So may every fight for justice “be slow to speak and quick to listen” to our brothers and sisters fighting for racial reconciliation (James 1:19).  And by truly hearing, learning, changing, and incorporating the ways their fight honors God into our own fights for justice, we stand together.
